With a glorious sunset shimmering just steps away, the third annual “The Atlantic Meets the Pacific” world-class ideas conference greeted hundreds of patrons at the Scripps Research Institute on opening night for the three-day event.
Patrons, sponsors and panelists alike eagerly anticipated the evening’s program, to be officially opened with welcoming remarks shared by Scott Havens, president of The Atlantic magazine and Pradeep K. Khosla, Chancellor of UC San Diego.
Tonight’s schedule includes three thought-provoking conversations:
Atlantic columnist/author James Fallows will interview Roni Zeiger, former Chief Health Strategist with Google, Inc., and now CEO Smart Patients, on the topic of: “Networked Patients, New Communities for Cancer Care.”
The next session will delve into “Big Data, Big Disease, Mining for Breakthroughs” followed by closing remarks by Elizabeth Baker Keffer, President of AtlanticLIVE.
